About Research Training Group 2633

What if we could stop autoimmune diseases before they start? The DFG-funded Research Training Group RTG2633 focuses on the autoimmune pre-disease phase – the earliest stage of immune dysregulation before clinical symptoms appear. Our interdisciplinary teams study diseases like lupus, systemic sclerosis, vasculitis, and pemphigoid disorders to identify early immune changes, risk factors, and novel intervention strategies. In 12 collaborative projects, 27 researchers from University of Lübeck and Research Center Borstel work across immunology, rheumatology, genetics, systems biology & more. We train a new generation of translational scientists to redefine the future of early diagnosis and prevention in autoimmunity.
