RUA21

RUA21 is an organization that has been investing in the preservation and professionalization of urban cultures for over 12 years. We were born as a street collective that had people from different regions, who had the same objective: to keep street culture alive! We understand that these cultures play a very important role in the city and give a voice to people who need to be heard, in addition to teaching important concepts about life, such as: respect, unity, empathy, diversity and entrepreneurship. RUA21 develops activities to foster and train artists who are born from these cultures, creating an easily accessible bridge to the job market. Our focus is to expand access to culture and, above all, to professional development within these cultures, enabling people who are rarely accessed to be seen and respected wherever they are. RUA21 is the link between various street groups, cultural institutions and companies in the entertainment market, consolidating festivals, artists and projects in different regions of the city of Rio de Janeiro. We represent the energy of popular urban cultures, to be RUA21 is to be a street art activist!
