Rubissow Family Wines LLC, our holding company, was founded in 2006.
Before Rubissow Wines, there was Rubissow~Sargent Wine Company. Founded in Berkeley, California in 1986 by Winemaker Tony Sargent PhD and Winegrower Georges Rubissow PhD. It was its own privately held corporation from its founding in 1986 until it was sold to Rubissow Wines in 2003.
Both businesses sourced fruit from Rubissow Vineyards on Mt. Veeder in Napa Valley. Rubissow Vineyards was founded in 1983 by George Rubissow. It was sold in 2019 to Steve Rasmussen & Felicia Woytak owners of Palisades Vineyard in Calistoga - and their brand Au Revoir.
