Optical Engineering Problems? Solved. Originally founded in 1994 as Ruda & Associates, Ruda Optical has nearly 200 years of combined experience in designing, building, and qualifying optical systems. We develop field-ready, first-run optical systems for our customers in the aerospace, defense, medical, and semiconductor sectors. Ruda Optical is well-known in the optical engineering industry for our expertise in optical alignment and tolerancing, and accurately modeling the assembly and alignment processes used during the design phase. This enables us to meet our customers’ specifications the first time, without rework or specification relief. Our team includes talented engineers with an array of optical and mechanical experience, certified Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) professionals, and personnel with specific skills in sub-micrometer tolerances, precision alignment, and space-qualified designs. In addition, we are ITAR compliant, AS9100D certified, and maintain an ISO Class 5 Cleanroom.
