The Rugby School Group is a global family of boarding and day schools, sharing the aims and ethos of the world-famous Rugby School in the UK. Founded in 1567 during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I, Rugby is one of the world’s most famous and successful co-educational boarding schools. It is also the home of the game of Rugby Football, which celebrates its 200th anniversary in 2023. Today, Rugbeians aspire to academic excellence and entry to the world’s leading universities within an educational environment where the development of the whole person is the whole point. Rugby enjoys an outstanding national reputation for sport, music, drama, art and co-curricular activities, and Rugbeians enjoy access to an extensive global alumni network. Rugby's first international sister school, Rugby School Thailand, opened in 2017 and today educates 1,200 students aged 2 to 18 on its spectacular 75-acre campus south of Bangkok. Our second sister school in Asia, Rugby School Japan, opened in September 2023 on its state-of-the-art urban campus in the greater Tokyo area. Plans to develop Rugby's third and fourth international sister schools are underway. Together with Bilton Grange Preparatory School and its nursery, Little Grange, the Rugby School Group currently educates over 2,400 students, offering an outstanding British education infused with Rugby's aims and ethos.
