RUIS aims to allow all Reading University students to explore and further develop an interest in buy-side finance/investment, increase employability and assist academic studies through a mix of practical application and research whilst engaging with other like-minded students.
We primarily run a multi-asset investment fund using virtual money to practice fund management techniques and experiment with new ideas, in addition to producing a monthly newsletter allowing members to compose insightful articles and produce material they can talk about in interviews and use as inspiration for written academic coursework. In addition to these two components, we will also be running financial training sessions to help tackle some of the jargon and basic concepts that some beginners may not be so comfortable with.
