There are many health and fitness influencers online, but we believe we offer a unique perspective as a married couple. We are not elite athletes. We are an average everyday couple discovering our own version of 'extraordinary'. We document our journey of fitness and weight loss in an encouraging manner. Also we truly enjoy running, racing, meeting other runners, and trying out new athletic gear. We also enjoy sharing plant-based nutrition, as that has been a positive factor in our overall health. Our blog and social media updates are positive and lighthearted.
Nic tests running shoes, athletic apparel, and nutritional products for national publications, has been a product reviewer for Women's Running magazine (2012, 2013), and attracted the interest of the Wall Street Journal, who featured her in their 10/16/2013 article on runDisney events. Beyond 10Ks and half marathons, Nic participates in triathlon and OCR. After a shaky and reluctant start at a 5K, Walt dove headfirst into endurance sports. He has run over a dozen marathons, an ultra, and several sprint triathlons. Goals include open water swim events and long distance cycling.
