Russian Life has existed in its current incarnation, published by RiS, since 1995. It is the heir (in spirit, by no means content) to Soviet Life magazine (1957-1991). The magazine covers all things Russian, from history and culture, to language and geography. It treads little into the sphere of politics, instead prefering to look at longer arc issues, social issues, literature, and much more. It publishes 6x per year in print (64 colorful pages) and the entire published back issue is accessible through an online subscription. The company also publishes books, maps, and calendars.
