Ruta Maya Coffee

Since 1990, Ruta Maya® Coffee has worked in direct partnership with indigenous Mayan farmer cooperatives to import certified organic, shade-grown arabica coffee from the highlands of Chiapas, Mexico–the land of the ancient and modern Maya. Ruta Maya’s gently roasted coffee beans are grown using traditional principles of organic farming, enabling landowners to sustain and replenish their grounds for future generations while promoting conservation of natural resources. Our crops are grown in mineral-rich volcanic soil, producing low acidic coffee with dynamic flavor profiles. We omit the use of unnatural fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides in growing and production in a conscious effort to create products that better serve our farmers, customers, and planet.
