What is the Education Fund?
RWTH Aachen University is one of the eleven universities of excellence in Germany. To ensure that excellent students can study here successfully and with the necessary financial freedom, the RWTH Education Fund was founded in the winter semester 2009/2010 together with proRWTH.
Within the framework of this scholarship program, the Porsche IT Campus RWTH Aachen Scholarship and the Germany Scholarship of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research are currently offered at RWTH Aachen.
Who is sponsored?
Sponsorship is provided to students who distinguish themselves through exemplary academic or academic performance and show particular potential. In the long term, we would like to support ten percent of our best students with a scholarship from the RWTH Education Fund.
In addition to outstanding academic performance, personal career, interdisciplinary, social commitment and/or social background may also be taken into account. To ensure that new talents also have a chance of receiving a scholarship, a new application phase is run every year.
So far, approximately 20 percent of all applications have successfully received a scholarship each year.
What else is there apart from money?
In addition to monetary support, the Education Fund offers all scholarship holders a non-material framework program.
Thanks to the financial and personal commitment of the supporters, we are able to offer a program of social, cultural and athletic activities and events for both supporters and scholarship recipients. The aim is to create a lively network and a continuous exchange among the scholarship students and funding partners.
