Rxcellence is a non profit organization that is run by pharmacists who operate under the “for us, by us” approach. We aim to help overcome unmet career development needs within historically marginalized groups. Our vision is to redefine existing barriers by promoting non-traditional pharmacy career paths and stimulating intellectual growth for people of color. Our mission is to: Enlighten young professionals about the versatility of the PharmD. degree Encourage a career-driven mindset that fosters ambition amongst the youth and professionals Equip young professionals with valuable resources in order to succeed in non-traditional pharmacy career paths Empower young professionals to be culturally confident and recognize the value of a pharmacist within various professions We look to fulfill our mission through our four pillars: Career Ally: Rxcellence will connect students and pharmacists with distinguished professionals from various career backgrounds. Offerings will include: mentorship, career guidance, CV/Resume assistance, Interview preparation, and more. Networking. Rxcellence will provide opportunities to facilitate genuine connections between students, pharmacists and career experts through our platform. Promotions. Rxcellence will dedicate its platform to recognize and celebrate achievements of black and brown pharmacists in unique career paths. Outreach. Rxcellence will drive awareness of the value of a PharmD degree and provide inspiration to the youth about the available opportunities within pharmacy.
