Rybka has a long history of involvement with low-energy design solutions. There are now a number of sites up and running with local renewable energy and other low energy features but we will never accept that the best way to be energy efficient is to add renewable technologies to a building. We will first ensure that all options for improving the fabric and in some cases orientation of the building are considered. Optimising thermal insulation and detailing for air tightness can be a much more efficient way of reducing energy costs. Rybka has influenced the industry to focus on the wider picture with respect to environmental responsibility and in particular with reference to impending legislation. Rybka has long since embraced the use of IES modelling and simulation during early design stages to aid the design team to deliver the most efficient and integrated design. Over the years, Rybka have continued to develop sustainable and highly efficient engineering solutions for a wide range of projects across a multiple sectors. Our BREEAM Assessors are qualified in BREEAM New Construction, Refurbishment and Fit Out and In Use schemes and we have a number of Low Carbon Consultants and Energy Assessors.
