RydeBoard was founded with purposes of bridging the gap between the real software industry and college coursework. This is a platform for one and all to learn and build new tools which in turn favor the student community. Our members work with industry standard applications on a daily basis and stay up to date with some cutting edge technologies.
Our very first application promotes Ryde (Ride) sharing amongst college campuses, helping students to split costs as well as help other students commute.
So why Ryde sharing? We have been asked this question very frequently as this is one of the most common applications out there. Yes, we are making another Ryde sharing application simply because it has not yet been done right. We are treating college Ryde sharing as a complete not-for-profit, decentralized niche market where the only goal is to move cars at full capacity for every gallon of fuel that is burnt.
We considered prominent issues faced by ourselves and other college students who do not drive to school and carefully laid out the design. The challenge here was to meet all requirements and yet keep the application simple to use.
Although the idea was put into implementation 4 months ago, the organization itself was established in early fall 2015.
We believe students will love to have such platform to split costs, volunteer and learn new technologies while still doing their course work.
And best of all, we welcome students to join and right code that is pushed to live on a daily basis.
