This is the technical problem of validating when an assisted or autonomous driving system can safely be deployed in an Operational Design Domain (ODD) - or more specifically - scale to other ODDs with minimal efforts. This is a challenge that no player - not Waymo, nor Tesla nor the traditional automotive players - has solved for. It requires a tricky combination of unique technical IP, state of the art research methods, domain expertise and engineering best practice.
