Saudi Health Information Management Association (SHIMA) is a not-for-profit professional association established under the patronage of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) to further the cause of health information management in Saudi Arabia and the region. Our goal at SHIMA is to promote and advance the Health Information Management (HIM), and Health Informatics professions through advocacy, communications, education, and research. We cover a broad range of topics related to HIM and Health Informatics professions such as clinical coding, clinical documentation improvements, analytics, Electronic Health Records, and consumer informatics. Vision To become the Professional Organization that improves Healthcare Nationally and Internationally by enhancing practices and standards related to Clinical Coding and Health Information Management and to become the Authorized source for Education, Researches and Accreditation. Mission Participating in developing the Quality of Healthcare by enhancing the Standards of Clinical Coding and Health Information Management so it perceives reality and builds up the future of Healthcare in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
