Mission: To give hands-on training through specialized "pop-up" private classes. Also, available for bookings. How S.R. Education started: Sally Rogerson’s passion for fashion, music and art culminated a natural path to her career in hairdressing. Her training began at London’s Vidal Sassoon in the late 1980’s at age seventeen. After working as a stylist Sally continued on to becoming an instructor at the Vidal Sassoon academy in London for ten years and then the Senor Creative Director for nine years in the Los Angeles Sassoon Academy. During her 20 years with the company, she worked as a platform artist, created trends in editorial shoots and acted as a brand ambassador while traveling internationally for Vidal Sassoon. Her years as a mentor and educator have helped inspire and develop legions of influential hairdressers who continue to value education and gain respect in their craft. She has worked with her mentor Tim Hartley, who took her under his wing in London, Stacey Broughton from MyHairDressers.com, Richard Ashforth from Sacohair, and Dove Palmer and Jean -Baptiste Mazella from Mazella and Palmer. Newly independent, Sally can now focus on S.R. Education, her own freelance education company which has inspired her to create new collections and add more of her own personal style in her teaching curriculum. She’s been dubbed “Rock N Roll” hair teacher by her Japanese students and is ready to tour with her own set of philosophies.
