SA Community Action Network (SA CAN) is your responsible point of contact, linking you to a nationwide network of service providers who provide a high level of support and assistance. SA CAN is a community-orientated crime prevention organisation which acts as a link between the public and service providers. Our protocols effectively make every community member a "walking, talking CCTV camera", by giving you the ability to report any kind of emergency / concern (medical, criminal, accidents etc.) to us. This information is then forwarded to the most relevant and reliable organisation or individual, who is able to deal with the matter most effectively. Our team co-ordinates and manages each incident from the start, until the best possible outcome has been achieved. SA CAN's 24hr SOS Line is the heart of the organisation, everything else we do is specifically designed to support it in order to improve information-gathering and reporting. In order to grow our network, we run a Street Watch programme which builds the foundation of your community and involves you directly in crime prevention. This is supported by Township SOS, which provides a lifeline to those who cannot afford to make a phone call through a "please-call-me" service.
