أنشئ المركز السعودي للاعتماد بموجب قرار مجلس الوزراء الموقر رقم (600) وتاريخ 22 شوال 1440 الموافق 25 يونيو 2019، ويعد الجهة الوطنية المنوط بها تقديم خدمات اعتماد جهات تقويم المطابقة في المملكة.
يقوم المركز السعودي للاعتماد حالياً بتقديم خدمة إعتماد جهات تقويم المطابقة التالية:
1. المختبرات بنوعيها (مختبرات الاختبار ومختبرات المعايرة) في جميع المجالات (مثل: الكهربائية, التشييد ومواد البناء, الكيميائية، القياس والمعايرة، وغيرها من الخدمات).
2. جهات التفتيش.
3. جهات منح الشهادات.
4. جهات الحلال.
The Saudi Accreditation Center (SAC) was established according to the Honorable Council of Ministers Resolution No. (600) dated 10/22/1440 Hijri (corresponding to 25 June 2019). SAC is the national authority for providing accreditation services for conformity assessment bodies in Saudi Arabia, including:
1. Laboratories (testing and calibration laboratories).
2. Inspection bodies.
3. Certification bodies.
4. Halal bodies.
