SAALG Geomechanics is an engineering firm specialized in advanced numerical solutions, numerical models calibrations and soil & rock parameters characterization by backanalysis (also known as inverse analysis). The main goal of SAALG Geomechanics is to built a bridge between academic research in the field of geomechanics and the industry; building the engineering of today and tomorrow.
The Company was born from an idea of two enthusiasts PhD studients (founders) of the Geotechnical Divison of the Civil & Environmental Engineering Department of the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya - BarcelonaTECH and the support of a group of professors (scientific advisory board) that believed in the necessity of connecting and transfering the knowledge cultivated over years of research to the industry.
We combine innovative and talented entreprenurial minds with world class geomechanical experts with more than 30 years of experience in soil and rock mechanics.
