About Saathi - IIT Bombay
Saathi is IIT Bombay’s LGBTQ Resource Group. We advocate for the rights of gender and sexual minorities for a more inclusive campus. LGBTQ stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Questioning. We were founded in 2011, after one of our first members, H, came out in the campus newsletter InsIghT. In the months that followed, other like-minded people came together and with the help of a few professors started organising meetings. Ever since, we have produced an anthology, produced numerous videos, executed outreach and awareness campaigns and continued to support Mumbai Pride.
