Sabegn is an Ethiopian brand founded by two sisters Elizabeth and Eyerusalem; with focus on creating sustainable social and environmental impact by actively employing Ethiopian Women Artisans as well as making sure they are fairly compensated for the incredible work they do. By focusing on circular contemporary design we have managed to become one of the leading brands coming out of Africa. At Sabegn we are deeply devoted to quality; both in the products we make and the quality of life we want to provide our artisans. We invest in creating sustainable employment opportunity for women. At the core of our business is making sure that our artisans are paid livable wages. Transforming our community and our environment is part of the day to day journey of Sabegn. We challenge the fashion industry by making a livable wage pledge and reusing only waste leather. RE-DICOVERY COLLECTION A collection that brings to life the stories of the artisans that make it. The Re-discovery Collection, with its culturally inspired designs and weaving techniques, incorporates leather scraps that would’ve been discarded to the aesthetic of a selection of purses created to reflect durability, uniqueness and human connection.
