About Structural Asset Consulting Engineers (SACE)
Structural Asset Consulting Engineers (SACE) are Structural Asset Consultants who have worked with several recognised engineering consultancies, local authorities and principal contractors working on behalf of Network Rail, Highways England, Yorkshire Water and the Environment Agency. SACE comprise Chartered members of the Institution of Civil Engineers, who provide high quality engineering consultancy services. With our client centred approach, SACE can react to clients’ needs efficiently and effectively. We listen and collaborate to deliver the highest quality engineering solutions. SACE are always striving to exceed expectations whilst providing a professional and safe experience to our clients, suppliers and communities. Our extensive knowledge within the engineering sector means we can successfully advise our clients on how to make cost effective decisions, to assist the maintenance and management of their structural assets. We provide structural inspections, examinations, design and assessment services, involving the use of Network Rail standards, Department of Transport standards, Eurocodes and British Standards. Delivering expert designs and consultancy on a range of structure projects by producing tailored reports to client’s remits, generally presenting findings in a technical report, with associated engineering drawings, sketches, photos and recommendations. SACE are currently engaged as designers on rail structure maintenance schemes, on behalf of Network Rail Tier 1 contractors and have a competency management system in accordance with Network Rail standard NR/SP/CIV/017. SACE comprise staff that are assessed and competent for Rail Structures examinations; STE2, STE3, STE4 and STE5 to NR/SP/CIV/017 and are familiar with Network Rail’s requirements for Outside Party Work Applications, which includes the knowledge of Basic Asset Protection Agreement (BAPA).
