Michele Saee believes that the work of architecture reflects our needs, our desires, and our ability to improve the quality of our relationships with creativity and adventure. In his words, architecture is a part of everyday life. Mr. Saee received his Master of Art in Architecture from the University Of Florence School Of Architecture in 1981 and then his post graduate degree in Technical Urban Planning at the Polytechnic of Milan the following year.
His professional career began with Superstudio in Florence, Italy, and he then joined Morphosis in Santa Monica, California, after moving to Los Angeles in 1982. Once he started his own design firm in 1985, Michele joined the design faculty at Otis College of Art and Design in 1986, and in 1990 began teaching at the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc). After 21 years, Mr. Saee joined the University of Southern California (USC) in 2011 where he is currently a faculty.
SAEE has won numerous awards including Young Architects Forum Design Award by The Architectural League of New York, 40 under 40 (honoring of the most promising American architects under the age of 40), AIA Next LA Design Award, LA 12 Award, City of Beverly Hills Architectural Design Award 2011, Special Prize of the Mayor of Strasbourg Silver medal, Interior Design China Hall of Fame Award.
