Safe Khodro Company was founded in 2004, when the results of an extensive market study showed that there was a significant lack of foreign cars in Iranian automobile market, specially a safe and modern car with low depreciation and energy consumption rates. Therefore, Safe Khodro Company was established with the aim of importing Subaru cars from Japan under an authorized agency contract.
At the end of 2016, the company put the revival of one of the oldest car production plants on its agenda, and after examining the existing infrastructure in the country, purchased Morattab company's shares. Morattab is one of the oldest car manufacturing companies in Iran, which started its work in 1957 with the production of Land Rover products and has been active in the country's car manufacturing industry for over 60 years. Then, according to the development plans and strategies drawn, the factory was renovated in such a way that at the beginning of 2018, the production lines were ready for operation and production of various passenger products. Safe Khodro Company now produces SWM G01 Models.
