Safe Surgery 2020 takes action to support surgical teams that operate in hospitals in some of the world’s lowest-resource settings to transform patient outcomes. We are a partnership of governments, implementers, researchers and funders who believe that everyone deserves access to safe surgical care – and that we cannot achieve that goal unless we develop solutions alongside the surgical teams that face these challenges every day. Together, we aim to transform surgical outcomes for over 3 million people in 5 countries by 2020 . We co-create, test, and scale programs that support surgical teams to save more lives.
