Safe Transitions was established out of the urgent need for relief on the overwhelmed shelters. The non-profit exists to help women and children in need of escaping toxic and violent environments. Victims of domestic abuse and human trafficking are among the most vulnerable people in our communities, and often do not get the attention they deserve. HOW WE HELP: While shelters are inundated with an increased requirement for safe housing, Safe Transitions acts as an intermediary organization connecting shelters with landlords to provide subsidized and affordable homes for long term individuals ready to begin the transition back into a new beginning, and a new life. HOW YOU CAN HELP: Our mission is to find the right partners who can provide suitable housing for those in need. We look to partner with landlords, developers, and property management companies who are able to collaborate and provide assistance to local shelters, and help people transition into a new life, free from abuse and violence. We are always looking for individual or corporate sponsorship and private investors to contribute to this imperative mission. Imagine providing a family with safety, a newfound freedom, and a new home! In addition to the corporate social responsibility and community support providing women and children a safe living situation, together and in turn, we are also freeing up the shelters that desperately need to make room for the daily incoming emergency cases.
