Safeway Driving School

A family run business formally known as fosseway school of motoring, which was established in Birmingham england in 1966 by Patrick Downey, who in 1970 returned to his native home in Ireland. From this time patrick established his own transport business here in Dundalk ,and later was joined by his son martin, who acquired certificates of professional competence in road haulage, and was employed as driver/ transport manager for the company up until it's closure in1986. Following this Patrick's desire was to return to driver training, and established Safeway driving school in 1986, He semi retired from the business in 1990, when son Martin took control and has continued with the business to the present day. He is a member of the approved driving instructor's register with the road safety authority, also member to the institute of advanced motorists, and still today delivers the highest quality driver training.
