About School of Agriculture for Family Independence
The School of Agricultural for Family Independence or SAFI was founded in 2002. Since that time they have been educating hundreds of Malawian farmer families on how to increase their crop yield, raise livestock, budget, irrigate, better nutrition, in order to become self-reliant. Since that time the organization has expanded its efforts to extension program that teaches thousands of farmers these same agricultural techniques. They also build boreholes or water wells to provide clean and accessible water, as well as scholarships to secondary and college age students across the country. They also work to plant tens of thousands of tree seedlings to combat deforestation.
