About Scottish Attachment In Action (SAIA)

Scottish Attachment In Action (SAIA) is an interest, campaigning and learning and development organisation. We are committed to promoting better experiences of attachment in the Scottish population in order to effect positive changes in policy and practice in education, care and health. SAIA has a reputation for providing high quality, bespoke learning, and development opportunities for practitioners from a range of settings, parents and carers . Our trainings are attachment and trauma informed offering participants theoretical knowledge and practical interventions. Interested in what we could do for you? Get in touch with us at admin@saia.org.uk We believe that it is important that our way of working is both connected and collaborative, reflecting the vision and values we cherish. Since our formation in 2006 we have played a key role alongside partner organisations in placing attachment onto the political agenda and have contributed to fundamental policy and legislative changes. In June 2015 we become a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation No. SC045708 . Membership of SAIA is open to all carers, parents and professionals. The voices and experiences of our members have been essential in communicating the fundamental importance of attachment across the life course. We believe, however, that despite this increased understanding a robust focus on creating and supporting positive attachment relationships remains essential for altering Scotland’s record on poor health and socially destructive behaviours.
