The Project “SAIHAM COTTON MILLS LIMITED ” was initially incorporated as “ Saiham Spinning Mills Ltd ’’ as a private limited company on May 30,2002 vide incorporation No.: C-459289(2401)/2002 and with effect from April 16,2003 the name of the company has been Changed to its present name ie Saiham Cotton Mills Limited .The Company has been converted into a public limited company on April 25, 2010. The Company received consent for raising capital through IPO from the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission on December 18, 2011 . On completion of the IPO compliance the company was listed with the Dhaka Stock Exchange Ltd & The Chittagong Stock Exchange Ltd & its share trading started in both the stock exchanges on June 24, 2012 . The primary objective of the company is to manufacture of 100% export–oriented cotton yarn of various counts for export market. The company operates as industrial spinning plant having one of the largest and modern cotton mill for 100% export oriented industries in Bangladesh. The company manufactures auto coned electronically cleared cotton carded and combed grey yarn. It has yearly installed capacity 1,19,80,000 kg of yarn from 57,960 nos of spindles. Now the company is going to start its new expansion unit with another 7,056 nos of spindals which is 100% of its existing capacity to produce 30/1, 28/1, 26/1, 24/1, 20/1, 34/1 & 40/1 cotton carded and 28/1, 26/1, 24/1 & 20/1 of 100% cotton combed knit yarn to meet the demand of export oriented garments manufacturer. The project is located in Saiham Nagar, Noyapara, P.S Madhabpur, Dist.- Hobigong. The Company is running successfully and its production & turnover is increasing day by day.
