Founded in April 2021 on the unceded traditional and ancestral lands of the Kwantlen, Musqueam, Katzie, Semiahmoo, Tsawwassen, Qayqayt and Kwikewtlem peoples.
Proudly sharing the name vastly used by Sikh community, the word Saint-Soldier (Punjabi: Sant-Sipahi), means to become both spiritually connected to the almighty and skilled with martial arts to protect self and others, as per teachings of the 6th Sikh Guru, Guru Hargobind Singh, which is also reflected in our motto: “protection with compassion.”
The logo is a token of respect towards Maharaja Ranjit Singh (fallen Sikh Empire). Sikh empire was multi-cultural as Ranjit Singh’s army was not limited to the Sikh community, and included Polish, Russian, Spanish, Prussian, European, French, Muslim, and Hindu Officers.
