At 3000 feet above sea level up in the majestic Western Ghats, 'SAJ Vagamon Hideout' is located at 'Vagamon', a sleepy little border town in the mountainous and forest covered 'Idukki' district of Kerala. Built by using only natural elements of mud & stone following traditional architectural techniques, the independent cottages in this 30 acres property are spread around a placid lake.
The climate throughout the year is somewhat steady at Vagamon, never too hot or too cold. Yet the rains are mighty during its seasons and the accompanying winds can be scary at times. You could watch fog rolls softly coming down from the mountains on a little cat feet and enveloping the whole arena in no time, transcending the whole mood and setting of the surroundings to a highly romantic and nostalgic one. The silence is broken only by songs of little birds and crickets and the voices of squirrels all the time. The song of nature reaches its peak as night falls. Thousands of fireflies making manifold formations will feast your eyes with heavenly luminance during night hours.
The Right of Entry to the property is only for pre-booked guests and the gates of the resort will open only for receiving them. At all other times the main gate remains closed. No walk-in guests are given entry to the property and no services including that of Restaurant is accessible to outsiders. Your privacy and security are completely safeguarded.
