SAKARTA Ltd is an exciting start-up building automated solutions for cell therapy (and stem cell) manufacture. Together with our key collaborators in Scotland and Japan, we are developing a robotic platform to deliver novel treatments for degenerative diseases. This is a fast-paced industry that has seen several recent successes in the clinic. However, regenerative medicine is technically challenging and cell treatments have to be manufactured in expensive facilities with highly trained technical staff. SAKARTA want to deliver products to reduce manufacturing costs, whilst retaining high product quality, making treatments that are accessible to all.
