Sakshum

Sakshum (means 'Being Capable' in hindi) is a tender initiative for children with special needs to provide holistic treatment and integrate them into the main-stream. By 'special needs' we mean to address all the children who are diagnosed with disability (Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Down's Syndrome and other childhood disabilities) and "At risk" (Pre-term, behavior and emotional problems and lack of stimulation, which hampers their overall development). The goal is to provide an early diagnosis and Early Intervention for children with special needs. The focus of Sakshum is to cater to all the therapeutic, educational and vocational needs of individual with special needs. Sakshum also aims at prevention and screening the children who lack information and facilities because of poverty, impoverishment or lack of stimulation. Sakshum also envisions spreading awareness and prevention of blindness and promote Eye Donation and Child Education. Sakshum was put into the motion by a group of people who have a passion to mould their unstructured life into a fine sculpture. Sakshum is a non profit organization dedicated to provide Early Intervention, Education and Guidance to children with special need and their family.
