Salento Racing Team - Formula SAE Team

ITALIAN -- Il Salento Racing Team nasce nella Facoltà di Ingegneria dell’Università del Salento nel 2005 con lo scopo di partecipare agli eventi Formula SAE. Tale Formula, creata nel 1978 dalla SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers), ha lo scopo di mettere in competizione gli studenti universitari nella progettazione e realizzazione di una monoposto tipo Formula. L’alto valore dell’iniziativa consiste nell’opportunità, data agli studenti, di provarsi nell’attività progettuale, mettendo a frutto i concetti appresi nelle materie di studio dei vari corsi, ma non solo; diventa fondamentale, per la buona riuscita del progetto, il percorso realizzativo attraverso il quale i progetti, i calcoli, i disegni, si devono tradurre in componenti reali, funzionanti, e integrati in un sistema (la vettura) che deve garantire il rispetto di determinarti standard qualitativi e prestazionali. ENGLISH -- Salento Racing Team was established in the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Salento in 2005 with the aim to participate in the Formula SAE events. This formula, created in 1978 by the SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers), is designed to put competing college students in the design and construction of a Formula type car. The high value of the initiative is the opportunity given to the students, to prove himself on the design, leveraging the concepts learned in the various courses of study, but not only; it becomes essential for the success of the project, the realizing path through which the projects, calculations, drawings, must be translated into real components, functional, and integrated into a system (the car) that must ensure compliance with determinarti quality and performance standards.
