Necton was founded in 1997 by three young university students who helped revive the ancient art of producing traditional, hand-harvested sea salt, which was almost extinct in Portugal.
Our core business is producing top quality Hand Harvested Sea Salt and Fleur de Sel using traditional techniques dating back to the time of the Roman Empire.
We are located in the Algarve - Ria Formosa, a protected wildlife reservoir where we operate in symbiosis with this special environment, always bearing in mind our core values (tradition, ecology, nature protection and preservation, advanced quality control, the highest food safety standards, teamwork, customer commitment, social responsibility).
