Owned and operated by a philosopher and a stone sculptor, Salt Spring Wild Cider developed out of a passion to create quality cider from the wild apples that grow on Salt Spring Island. Apples in our blends are from 100-year-old heritage trees, organic orchards and wild apple trees that live in farmer’s fields and along gentle roadsides that once fell with the breeze.
The cider house is a renovated horse barn overlooking a beautiful south-facing and gently-sloping five acres, with a newly planted orchard of over 20 varietals of apples and pears. In the tasting room at the cider house we offer sample flights, individual tastings, ciders to purchase and farm style tapas to share on the farm.
