We are Saltire Thistle, Glasgow's Inclusive Football Club. Formed in 2010, the club was created to provide a safe space for members of the LGBTQIA+ community to participate in football. Inclusivity is not just a buzzword. it’s an integral part of our identity. Many members join Saltire Thistle after a period of not being involved in sports, which can often be due to a lack of belonging. Saltire Thistle aims to create an environment where individuals can grow and become more comfortable with themselves, without changing who they are. On and off the park, we strive to create a welcoming, supportive and fun environment which creates impactful change including friendships and championing inclusivity in football.
