Samay Yaan is a not-for-profit Reference Library and Cultural Centre, dedicated to celebrating the literary and artistic identity of India — past and present. Home to over 5,000+ carefully curated books from every region and language of India — along with their translations — our collection includes rare publications, a complete set of Vedic literature, and many forgotten gems that open up new ways of seeing Bharat. More than just a library, Samay Yaan is a living space for India’s performing and narrative arts. Our dedicated theatre and storytelling courtyard "Anubhavshala" hosts sessions in music, oral traditions, and evolving Indian art forms. Each year, we hold the Kathaalok- The Great Indian Storytelling Festival, a two-day gathering that brings timeless tales, regional narratives, and forgotten stories from across the country back to the stage.
