Samfilippo & Co is a consultancy focused on increasing the number of female Chief Investment Officers in the alternatives investment industry. We believe that one of the key reasons there is a dearth of female fund managers is that their careers are disrupted during childbearing and childrearing years due to the lack of supportive infrastructure in the workplace. During this time, women often choose to pause their career or take a lesser role to be the chief caregiver.
