SAMOT Catania has been providing home care and palliative care services to oncological and chronic patients since 2001, in agreement with the Provincial Health Boards of Catania and Enna.
Our mission is to provide patients with advanced diseases with continuous care, while remaining at home surrounded by their families, trying to achieve the best possible quality of life and above all respecting the choices of the sick person.
Care is provided through multidisciplinary teams, composed of highly specialized figures such as palliative physicians, nurses, physical therapists, psychotherapists, etc.
Since 2021, we have been engaged in a project funded by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy called "Spazio Amico," to ensure the constant improvement of the health protection conditions of children residing in the Sicilian regional territory affected by oncological disease and the well-being of their families, offering continuous care, strengthening the institutional competencies of public and private facilities operating in the oncology-pediatric field and developing consistent care, treatment and long-term rehabilitation activities, in collaboration with facilities in the territory.
