SAMTEC - NextGen Coders

SAMTEC is more than just a tech education initiative; it's a beacon of hope for underprivileged youth, particularly in township communities. Founded by Lethukuthula Samantha Shabalala and Cleopatra Cynthia Mashabane, SAMTEC aims to bridge the gap in the tech space by introducing high school students to the transformative power of technology. Growing up in communities where tech was a foreign language, we witnessed the struggles and missed opportunities that came with this disconnect. We felt the urgency to create change, inspired by our own experiences of navigating an education system that didn't equip us with the skills needed for the future. This profound personal journey and desire to make a difference led to the birth of SAMTEC, a program dedicated to empowering youth through education and opening doors to a world of possibilities in the tech industry.
