The Southern African Medical Trainee-led Research Alliance (SAMTRA) is a medical-trainee-driven, collaborative dedicated to advancing medical research and capacity building in Southern Africa. Founded to bridge the research gap in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), SAMTRA fosters collaboration, mentorship, and skills development among medical trainees.
Through multidisciplinary research initiatives, we empower the next generation of healthcare leaders to address context-specific health challenges and drive evidence-based change in our communities.
