Paulaharju-säätiö

Born in Kurikka and dead by Oulu, Samuli Paulaharju toiled throughout his life with visiting rural, agrarian and nomadic homesteads in efforts to record, compile and appreciate the auricular information that Elias Lönnrot didn't manage to catch in his respective explorations of Karelia, Kalevala and beyond. Mr Lönnrot constructed the unique language of Finnish more or less. Thanks to him, one of the world's five oldest surviving tongues has become exceptionally systematic, logical and witsy because Eelis didn't need to negotiate with anyone in the end about the literal forms, vocab, pronouns, lexicon and whatnot. Going back to Mr Paulaharju, he likewise published a notable number of books about Nordic cultures. Sam's legacy lives on.
