San Onofre Ltda., inicia operaciones el año 1965 como la primera industria fabricante de materiales para fluidos de perforación, atendiendo el mercado local y exportando sus productos a México, Paraguay, Argentina y Venezuela. El año 1997 pasa a formar parte del grupo Equipetrol. Inicialmente abocada a la producción de materiales relacionados con la perforación de pozos de extracción de hidrocarburos.
Actualmente desarrolla una gama de productos para el agro boliviano, productos elaborados con minerales industriales y material orgánico obtenido de forma ecológica.
Productos elaborados:
• Materiales para fluidos de perforación fabricados: Baritina, Bentonita, Carbonato de Calcio, Hematita y otros.
• Enmiendas y nutrientes agrícolas y fertilizantes.
• Capacidad instalada de procesamiento de baritina y bentonita alcanza a las 30,000 toneladas anuales.
