SANA Co. (Iran Power Plant Investment Company)

The Iranian Power Plant Investment Company (aka SANA, the acronym of its full name in Farsi) come to existence during the early years of Iranian electricity industry restructuring, with the aim of playing an effective role in this regard as an important contributor and, in the meantime, grasp opportunities arising. Thus, SATKAB Company along with a number of investment companies and power sector companies established the Iranian Power Plant Investment Company (Public Joint Stock). In 2009, Islamic Revolution Mostazafan Foundation took over stocks of SATKAB, TAVANIR and SHASTA companies within the framework of Principle 44 of the Iranian Constitution; the Foundation is currently the major shareholder of SANA. The company’s activities are mainly focused on investment in power generation projects. During the period the company has been active, it has managed to invest in a number of power plant projects. Currently, owning five subsidiaries, the company is developing its business and excelling itself.
