The City was awarded 3rd place for Most Competitive Component City for Government Efficiency in Region I and also won three 1st Place awards in sub-categories given by the National Competitiveness Council and the Regional Competitiveness Committee - Region 1, Department of Trade and Industry, and Department of Interior and Local Government.
