About SanghaLink
SanghaLink was a 501(c)(3) tech-based nonprofit founded in Austin, Texas, in 2013. We provided a safe, invite-only online platform for LGBT+ high school students to connect with peers from different schools across their city. Driven by a dedicated team of volunteers statewide, SanghaLink partnered with high school Gay-Straight Alliance clubs and other organizations committed to supporting LGBT+ youth. Together, we expanded the SanghaLink network and regularly hosted in-person meetups, empowering members to strengthen and grow their local communities offline. Our mission was to address critical issues faced by LGBT+ teens, including homelessness, substance abuse, and suicide, by fostering meaningful, real-life connections. In 2019, SanghaLink merged with a larger organization, continuing its mission through expanded efforts.
