The Founder Trustees have realized that poverty, lack of awareness about curable blindness, and limited resources in Ophthalmology are the root cause of sufferings of millions of poor people in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh. With a dream to bring light back into the lives of those unfortunate people suffering from curable blindness and to foster excellence in ophthalmic patient care. These Trustees have established Sankar Foundation Eye Institute (SFEH), Registered No. 150/1997, Super Speciality, registered by Government of Andhra Pradesh, on 2nd June 1997 at Simhachalam, Visakhapatnam, in a 2-bed room rented building.
