The Institute has the following functions:
- act as the Body of Reference for Parliament and Government in respect of public policies and law making to grow the innovation ecosystem;
-act as the Prudential Authority regulating the innovation ecosystem including the Blockchain regime;
-act as the Public Agency in charge of the Digital Agenda of the Republic: the strategic plan to position SanMarino as a Pilot State for disruptive technologies.
The Institute is a private company fully owned by the State and represented by the Government of the Republic of San Marino in the shareholders meetings.
